EXT. - WYNOOCHEE LAKE CAMPGROUND - NIGHT
We see a very bright red orb floating a foot above a large lake in the mountains of the northwest.
It's illuminating everything, the surface of the water, the surrounding banks and trees, and the
Rangers house. On the far bank a large humanoid shape is silhouetted between the trees from the
powerful red glow of the orb, the large creature crouches as if to get a better view, the glow of the
moon adding to the red light creating a nice pinkish hue on the tops of the evergreens, and the stars on
this clear night seem to twinkle brighter. Suddenly the orb turns pure black sucking in natural light
like a black hole, the red glow disappearing in an instant. Something the size of a softball drops
from the bottom of the micro-black hole as if letting loose a turd, and it makes a small splash as it
hits the water.
CUT TO:
INT. - RANGER HOUSE - CONT.
DAVE is just leaving the bathroom and notices some movement in his peripheral, he peers through
the window facing the lake, then moves to get a closer look, his eyes suddenly widen and then relax
to a catatonic type expression.
CUT TO:
EXT. - LAKE - CONT.
Dave stands knee deep in the lake near the edge of the shoreline, he stares at the micro-black hole
as it rises higher and above the trees, it momentarily blocks out the light of the moon and stars in
the process of retreating, just as the black hole UAP settles and stops rising into the night sky, it
suddenly and silently collapses in on itself to the point of vanishing altogether. PAN down and
CLOSE ON Dave's legs where we see a large translucent creature shaped like a tad pole displaying
bioluminescence kin to a deep-water jelly fish, it swims in circles around Dave, he suddenly snaps
out of his trance after hearing a yell behind him, SWISH PAN to reveal it's AMY.
AMY
Dad, what are doing out here?!
JIM walks out of the ranger house and calls out as well.
JIM
Dave, you ok? Is he ok?
Jim hurries back in the house then comes out with a towel, Amy wraps it over Dave's shoulders and
they all walk together, Jim and Amy with concern help him into the house.
DAVE
I don't know how I got here. Last thing I remember I was in the
bathroom taking a piss.
The door shuts and the living room light turns on in the ranger house. We see Amy sit him down
and Jim bring Dave a coffee, POV from the grassy bank of the lake peering through the open
curtain main window.
CUT TO:
EXT. - OPPOSITE SIDE OF LAKE - CONT.
A Bigfoot, (BOB) walks out from behind a large pine tree near the water's edge, then steps in the water
carefully up to his hairy shins. The large bioluminescent tadpole shaped creature swims up to Bob and
starts swimming around his legs just like it did with Dave, Bob crouches down and reaches his hands
into the water, and cups them together under the creature as if to catch it, but only watches it swim in
circles for a moment before standing back up from the crouching position, he stares at the creature
and tears up from emotion, the creature swims to his leg staying there then looks up and makes eye
contact with Bob, we notice at that point the creature has more of a humanoid face and apparent
sentience. Bob steps out of the water and disappears into the woods.

INT. - WYNOOCHEE CAMPGROUND STORE - DAY
Dave grabs some snacks and heads to the counter, Jim pours coffee at the corner counter, and
ANN straightens items on the counter, also stocking some goods at the same time. Ann rings up
Dave, and Jim walks up too.
ANN
An FBI agent stopped by this morning wanting to talk to you.
DAVE
What?
JIM
Wanted to know if you saw anything strange last night.
DAVE
Really? Uh. I don't remember anything. What'd you say?
Amy walks in the door and goes right for coffee.
ANN
I told him you didn't see anything and that you were sleepwalking.
DAVE
Thanks, exactly what I would've said. Fyi I'm visiting Celeste today.
Amy wanna go?
AMY
Maybe next time dad.
ANN
I'll go; Amy could you cover me?
AMY
(knowing expression)
No problem.
Jim starts for the door, pauses holding it open to tell Dave something.
JIM
Tell my sister I said hi.
Dave gestures to Jim as he slides out.
AMY
Tell her I'll see her next visit.
Dave and Ann step out the door of the store together.
CUT TO:
EXT. - LAKE CAMPGROUND PARKING LOT - CONT.
Dave and Ann get in the Ranger truck and Dave slowly backs out of the parking spot.
DAVE
So weird an FBI agent was here. Somebody must've reported something.
Shows up the very next day? I don't have a good feeling about this, it's
too weird. What'd ya know?
Driving out on to the main road.
ANN
Jim and Amy saw something but kept it from agent RILEY.
DAVE
Why?
ANN
Because you interacted with it. It's too strange to be true.
They said it was a UAP with light around its radius that looked like
shimmering water flowing down a drain. Your daughter and best friend
didn't want to sound crazy. Could you blame'em? It does sound crazy.
So, you don't remember anything?
Dave pulls over to the shoulder of the road.
DAVE
(worried)
No.

FADE IN:
EXT. - WYNOOCHEE LAKE FARSIDE - CONT.
Bigfoot Bob drags a dead deer to the water's edge of the lake picks it up and toss's the carcass into the
water making a significant splash. The surface of the water begins to stir then suddenly the creature's
back breaches the water like an Orca and a feeding frenzy ensues for a few seconds with a calm
soon after. Bob standing and staring with sad eyes watches the light show on the creature's now
huge whale like hump its head never being seen. Bob turns with a lumbering walk back into the tree
line after the spectacle.
CUT TO:
Dave and Ann stand in front of a beautiful tombstone in a cemetery on it reads, Celeste Mcaffrey,
loving wife, mother, and friend to all.
DAVE
Hi Celeste. Last couple days have been a doozy, wish you were here
to keep me sane. Not that I would ever go insane you know what I
mean. I saw Bob the other day, he actually walked with me on the trail
until a hiker showed up, I just said it was a bear, and I hope they were
carrying bear spray. Your daughter says hi too, she'll visit next time.
ANN
You saw Bob? (Dave nods yes) that's rare - been awhile. Hi
Celeste, miss you bestie. I'm holding down the new store these days
not with much help from this one. I'm kidding he's great - built all the
shelves while your brother was wandering the woods.
Ann holds Dave's hand. (beat) She turns and hugs him sadly and deeply then releases him, she looks
into Dave's eyes.
DAVE
I'm not ready to move on.
ANN
She wouldn't mind because it's us.
DAVE
I know.
Agent Riley walks up behind Dave and Ann startling them.
RILEY
Sorry to sneak up you folks, no disrespect I wish I could've waited
but my time is limited so I hope you understand. Dave you don't
remember anything?
DAVE
Don't you people have any couth?
RILEY
Not when the fate of the world depends on it.
ANN
(laughs)
Yeah right.
Agent Riley stays dead serious, and Ann's smile melts away.
ANN
(looks at Dave)
Can you drive me home? I'll drive myself in tomorrow so I can
pack up the perishables.
DAVE
(side hugs Ann)
Yeah, no problem.
CUT TO:

EXT. - LAKE BOAT RAMP - CONT.
Amy tries to mediate an argument between a few people about who was at the ramp first. Jim
drives up in an official park vehicle, gets out intimidatingly with his best tough face on. Amy notices
Jim wearing a side arm as he walks toward the situation.
AMY
Uncle, you haven't carried since I was little, this is just a harmless
dispute you don't need that.
JIM
It's not for people.
BOATER PERSON
For bears?
JIM
Alright, who was here first?
CUT TO:
INT. - RANGER HOUSE - NIGHT
We see Dave, Jim, and Amy finishing up dinner. Jim gets up from the table and goes into an
adjacent room, (beat) then comes out with two handguns while wearing a shotgun around his
shoulders bandolero style. Amy starts clearing the table, Dave helps. Jim puts the weapons on
a cleared spot on the table.
AMY
We haven't sat down to eat together like that for a while, it was nice.
DAVE
(points at the guns)
What are these for?
JIM
Aliens.
DAVE
Aliens? I didn't see anything!
AMY
We did.
DAVE
Yeah, I know Ann told me.
JIM
Sorry we didn't talk to you about it, but we were in shock.
Something is happening, and the government is getting involved.
AMY
Dad, the FBI is going to close the campgrounds from the public, and
the military is coming in.
DAVE
I told that guy I didn't see anything!
JIM
It doesn't matter, they know something is going on, and agent Riley
wants us to stay and cooperate.
DAVE
Why?
JIM
Because you made contact with whatever that thing is.
AMY
The campers have been notified they have one more day, tomorrow
that's it.
DAVE
Let me guess, bird flu outbreak. (looks at Amy) What are you
going to tell your friends?
AMY
Bird scientists need our assistance for a few days.
Jim starts cleaning the handguns, Dave sits down at the table as well, while Amy finishes loading
the dishwasher.
JIM
Good one Amy. Now we're all liars.
A large very loud splash at the lake makes everyone freeze, look at each, then rush to grab the
guns on the table.
CUT TO:
____________________________________________________________________________________ 6.
EXT. - GRASSY BANK ON LAKE NEAR RANGER HOUSE - CONT.
POV of Dave, Jim, and Amy standing on the bank of the lake watching a drowning sasquatch
struggle to hang on while the now whale size creature swims circles around Bob - its bioluminescence
row of colors flowing down its back like rotating Christmas lights. Amy runs and dives into the lake
to save Bob, Jim and Dave follow suit. Now they're all struggling trying to help Bob to shore, and
just as it looks like they all might go under the creature raises its giant tail out of the water and slaps
it down hard on the surface creating an artificial wave big enough to wash them all to shore. Bob picks
himself up off the ground as do the others - Bob towers over the dad, daughter, and uncle. Bob looks
at the two handguns, and shotgun laying on the grass, then looks at the humans shaking his head with
disapproval. The creature dives and disappears, while the Bigfoot and humans stand there dripping
wet they notice in the parking lot the last family camping panicked and hurriedly packing up their SUV
to leave, a few seconds later they peel out and are gone. Bob and crew then look upward because of
the whirring sound of a helicopter - they see it, a MILITARY CHINOOK CHOPPER escorted by an
armed to the teeth NAVY F-35B LIGHTENING.
CUT TO:
POV of agent Riley peering out of the side of the chopper coming in above the lake getting ready to
land - the F-35 hovering next to it ready to land simultaneously. The glow of the creature faint down
deep in the water and Bob running into the woods. The FBI agent calls someone from a secure cell
phone.
RILEY
Mr. President, it's literally a much bigger problem than we thought.
We didn't respond fast enough sir. (beat) Authorization to wipe?
CUT TO:
Agent Riley and the PILOT of the fighter jet walk to the Rangers position on the grassy lake shore,
chopper and jet seen in the background parked on the road to the DAM close by. They're all face to
face now.
RILEY
Was that a bigfoot that ran from the scene? Anyone?
DAVE
Bob. We call him Bob around here. What is that water beast thing?
Riley grabs his walkie talkie from his belt.
RILEY
(Calls the chopper for a moment, it's unintelligible to Dave except the word
'Bigfoot')
(beat) Dave, I know you don't remember, but it's the much
larger version of what you came in contact with the night you slept
walked except you weren't sleepwalking.
DAVE
Bob is sacred and family, you're not going to touch a hair on his head.
Jim and Amy give Riley the hell no eagle eye. SEVEN SPECIAL US FORCES SOLDIERS quickly
deboard the Chinook and confiscate the guns left on the ground then head to the ranger's house.
AMY
What about the last camping family that left?
RILEY
Pay them off and sign NDA's.
JIM
It can't be that simple.
RILEY
It is. We're going to be living here for the time being, I suggest
we try to work together; interference is not an option. If we don't
succeed the consequences can go worldwide.
AMY
What consequences?
DAVE
That thing saved us from drowning while we were trying to save Bob.
RILEY
That thing was going to eat Bob so it could grow to its final stage.
It wasn't trying to save everyone, just you Dave. You accidently made a
psychic connection and bonded with it, similar to how a rescued
baby wildlife imprints.
DAVE
Amy, you have the brother or sister you always wanted.
Amy shakes her head no.
RILEY
Not a time to joke, this extraterrestrial incursion could be the end.
JIM
Bullshit. You expect us to believe everything you say?
AMY
Where are we supposed to sleep? You took over our house.
RILEY
No, I don't expect you to believe me, but that's not important right now.
Let's get up to the house and we'll figure it out and execute the plan
tomorrow. We cut the cell too fyi.
DAVE
Damn, Ann is probably trying to call. Are you killing the ET fish?
Agent Riley stares somberly at Dave for a moment, then turns and walks toward the house,
the Rangers follow.
JIM
I've got more guns.
RILEY
You won't need them.
They disappear into the ranger house, the door slams.

EXT. - RURAL NW ROAD - DAY
Ann drives toward Wynoochee Lake and passes the street sign indicating it, her Chevy Bolt EV zipping
along up to the forested mountain. A local sheriff half blocking the road stops Ann from going any
farther, the officer questions her.
POLICEMAN
Wynoochee Dam is closed. Why are you headed that way?
ANN
I work there, I run the new store. The lake was supposed to be open for
one more day, my calls aren't going through.
POLICEMAN
I'm sorry I can't let you go up without authorization.
ANN
They need me!
POLICEMAN
License and registration, and some form of work I.D.
as an employee for the lake.
Ann and the cop go through the motions.
ANN
Can I go now officer?!
POLICEMAN
Sorry strict orders.
ANN
I don't have time for this.
Ann starts her EV car and backs up a little as if she's about to turn around, then abruptly drives
on the shoulder bypassing the partial police car road blockade and floors the pedal taking off like
a silent rocket disappearing up and around the corner. The cop jumps in his interceptor in high
pursuit. After a few seconds of loud sirens and a too dangerous chase for what it's worth, the
cop car backs off, slows down and turns around. Ann watches in the rearview while it happens,
she takes a breath out in relief.
CUT TO:
INT. - RANGER HOUSE - CONT.
SPECIAL FORCES are gathered around the breakfast table not with food but with their assault rifles
and a few other strange exotic devices that seem very high tech. As they prep and clean their weapons
Ann brings in a tray of coffee cups with a full carafe, she pours it out for them. Dave comes out of his
room to get coffee and Jim stands by the window with coffee in hand trying to see any activity, the sun
just rising over the treetops, it's a clear day. Agent Riley is talking to someone on his walkie talkie again
this time the whole room overhears the word, 'Ok.'
AMY
Breakfast?
RILEY
Ann is on her way, make sure she comes straight in the house for her
safety when she gets here.
SF LEADER
No thanks, we already had MRE's
DAVE
What's the plan?
RILEY
This is unprecedented so it's a scramble drill.
AMY
Oh, like in football.
RILEY
Yup.
JIM
(attention to SF and weapons)
Back when I was in the military I was on a special unit for a short
time.
The SF unit stops and looks at Jim.
SF LEADER
What happened?
JIM
Back problems.
The SF unit go back to prep but are smiling and nodding yes in understanding Jim.
RILEY
They know all about it. They admire Jim's tenure despite how short it
was.
Dave and Amy seem impressed.
DAVE
Oh really, do tell.
JIM
Sorry, classified.
CUT TO:
EXT. - RANGER HOUSE - CONT.
Ann pulls into a parking stall going too fast and the tires screech. As she exits her car she notices
the surface of the lake stirring and small wakes of water lapping on shore as if a speeding boat went by.
She takes a nervous walk to the front door, then hurriedly enters the ranger house.
CUT TO:
____________________________________________________________________________________ 8.
INT. - RANGER HOUSE - CONT.
Ann scans the room and hugs each of her ranger friends and stops at the group of buffed tattooed
SOLDIERS standing around waiting - rifles on and in close ready for battle.
ANN
(pointing to soldier forearm tattoo)
What's that Asian character symbol mean?
SOLDIER
Samurai.
JIM
I get it, seven in your unit - seven samurai, clever.
ANN
What is the plan anyway?
RILEY
You and the rangers stay in the house for now, we'll evacuate you
if it goes south. Commander ready?
SF LEADER
Ready.
The soldiers grab the high-tech bags and flow out the door in trained fashion. The ranger group
watch with inquisitive wonder and they go to the main window to get a better look at the events
outside unfolding.
CUT TO:
EXT. - WYNOOCHEE LAKE CAMPGROUNDS - CONT.
WIDE SWEEPING AERIAL SHOT over the lake and campgrounds, we see the SF UNIT line up on
the bank of the lake and set up the LASER NET BOXES. The FIGHTER PILOT prepares his
gear standing next to his tent nearby his formidable F35 JET and the massive CHINOOK
HELICOPTER stands out like a HILL almost blending in with the landscape. The surface of the lake
becomes rough and small ripple waves breaks on the shore. Dave, Jim, Amy, and Ann leave the
ranger house and we see them go and stand next to Riley.
CUT TO:
ANGLE ON rangers, agent Riley, and Ann.
RILEY
If this doesn't work, we'll have to open the dam and drain the lake.
The RIPPLES and WAVES get much larger.
DAVE
I think it heard you.
PAN and ANGLE ON,
The GIANT ET WATER CREATURE BREACHES THE SURFACE IN A SPECTACULAR
DISPLAY OF STRENGTH - CRASHING ON THE STRETCHED METAL PONTOONS SPANNING
ACROSS THE LAKE, WATER MIST FROM THE SPLASH SETTLING LIKE RAIN. Over half
its body is above the water and exposed. Part whale, part frog and with the face of what may resemble
the classic KRAKKEN characteristics, the BIOLUMINCENCE ROLLING DOWN ITS BACK is
just as NOTICEABLE in the DAY LIGHT as it is at NIGHT. IT BREATHES LOUD AND HEAVY
THE SOUND INDUCING NAUSEA, ITS STUBBY HUMANOID ARMS WITH BUILT IN FINS
ARE BODY BUILDER RIPPED, AND ITS HUMANOID HANDS WITH THE FINGERS FUSED
TOGETHER BY WEBBED SKIN GRIP THE PONTOONS AS IF IT'S DOING A PUSH UP. ITS
EYES ARE DEEP GREEN WITH NO PUPILS WHICH GIVES IT A TERRIBLE FEARSOME
GAZE - BLIND BUT NOT BLIND - BIOLUMINACANCE INTERMITTENTLY SPARKS
WITHIN ITS EYEBALLS AS MINI-LIGHTENING STRIKES. IT DIVES DOWN MAKING
A SPLASH SO LARGE THE RIPPLES CREATES AN ACTUAL FOUR FOOT WAVE.
CUT TO:
CLOSE ON Agent Riley.
RILEY
It has grown to its full size.
PULL FOCUS, CLOSE ON Dave.
DAVE
We don't need to be here.
PULL BACK, ANGLE ON Riley, Rangers, and Ann.
RILEY
I'm authorized to WIPE the campgrounds under this
scenario if necessary. The only thing that will kill it now is a specialized
biological weapon, lasers will slow it down long enough to administer
the bioweapon, but something needs to draw it out of the water.
JIM
What about good old fashion bullets?
RILEY
Same, guns just slow it down. None of us are likely to survive if we fail,
losing is not an option.
ANN
Bob! Look he's on the other side of the lake!
CONT.
____________________________________________________________________________________ 9.
CUT TO:
ZOOM to the far side of the lake ANGLE ON Bob. He takes a bigfoot stride into the water
and starts to swim toward the center of the lake.
CUT TO:
ANGLE ON Amy.
AMY
I'll be damned Bob can swim.
JIM
Oh, now he can swim?
Jim casually turns and slips out of view without anyone noticing.
RILEY
You all interrupted our first opportunity the other night.
Bob voluntarily gave himself up as bait, and we didn't intend to
land if you know what I mean. Noble creatures Sasquatch.
DAVE
You've used Bigfoot help before? And what about my connection
to the water alien?
RILEY
Bigfoot saved our asses and the world for decades. And that initial
connection you had with water alien is gone; it'll eat you in a heartbeat
now.
DAVE
Great.
ANN
Water monster isn't buying it this time.
RILEY
Wait for it.
Jim surprises everyone arriving on a QUAD - HANDGUNS IN HIS PANT WAIST, A FEW
ASSAULT RIFLES, AND TWO BOXES OF AMMO ON THE BACK RACK. Jim pulls out a
stogie, lights it then gives the other rangers and Ann rifles with full clips like it's Christmas.
JIM
(glances at Dave)
Don't say I never gave you anything.
AMY
Jesus uncle Jim.
JIM
Merry Christmas in July. Ann, can you handle that?
Ann puts the rifle on the quad bike shaking her head no.
ANN
Sorry Jim it's just not me.
PAN then ZOOM CLOSE ON Bob treading water in the middle of the lake, A grid of lasers activate
over his head. Bob GOES UNDER WITHOUT ANY COMMOTION. PAN ZOOM TO SHORE
ANGLE ON Dave.
DAVE
(puts the rifle on the quad rack)
I can't. Amy?
AMY
I'll stay.
RILEY
I don't like this. Bob is gone and not a ripple.
Riley hand signals the special forces and they deactivate the laser grid, quickly pack up
the gear then jog to the CHINOOK - THE F35 LIFTS OFF. Riley gets the Wynoochee CREWS
ATTENTION. Before the FBI agent can give instructions the WATER CREATURE DECLOAKS
FROM BEING INVISIBLE and is next to the ranger house, it smashes the structure with its webbed
fists demolishing it in seconds. Jim opens fire with his assault rifle and the Samurai Seven follows
suit. A blaze of hundreds of rounds hit the creature stunning it but not killing it. Bob soaking wet
shows up during the hail of bullets and leads Dave, Ann and Amy in the opposite direction into the
woods to safety, Ann gets in a few rounds at the creature along the way. Jim continues to shoot, but
the SF unit relents to make an escape to the helicopter, Riley gets grabbed by the creature and succumbs
to its giant ET hands, then is eaten. As the Chinook with the Samurai on board makes a getaway the
F35 now high in the air turns and fires its entire payload at the creature, it DODGES the missiles with
not a one making impact - the bioweapons penetrate the earth surface and foams up a certain radius
and twenty-five feet in the air. Jim opens up another clip of machine gun fire at the water creature and
he's swatted by its LONG SPINY-FINNED TAIL AND HE FLIES SEVENTY FEET THROUGH
THE AIR AND SPLASHES DOWN IN THE LAKE. ZOOM, and ANGLE ON Jim floating face down.
CUT TO:
We see the Chinook and the F35 flying far off in the distance getting smaller and smaller.
CUT TO:
We see Bob guiding the humans into a cave entrance camouflaged by close knit trees.
CUT TO:
We see two Bigfoot on the far side of the lake dragging Jim out of the water and on to shore.
FADE OUT:

FADE IN:
INT. - NEWS ROOM - NIGHT
ANCHOR behind the desk and in front of a studio camera.
ANCHOR
This morning an explosion at the Wynoochee Dam destroyed the
Ranger Station believed to be caused by a gas leak, but the investigation
is ongoing. Sadly, three of the resident rangers, and the campgrounds
store clerk are missing and feared dead, although no bodies have been
found. Fortunately, no one else was there due to early closure for a
suspected Bird Flu outbreak among local wildlife. Scientists scheduled
to research the outbreak has been postponed. Sad news indeed Mike,
I hope that's resolved soon, and all our hearts go out to the families
of the missing Rangers and store clerk, names have been withheld
until more information is learned. Back to you Mike.
CUT TO:
INT. - WYNOOCHEE FOREST CAVE - CONT.
The rangers and the store clerk huddle together in the dark. A large humanoid shadow opens the
makeshift camouflaged door to the cave. A bright light floods the cave, they see it's Jim.
DAVE
Nope not Bob.
Jim is carrying a bag of supplies, food, water, and a sidearm. Hugs and thanks all around, and hope.
JIM
My AR is at the bottom of the lake. (Amy points to her AR)
Good. I might have a little internal bleeding too.
DAVE
What happened to you?
JIM
Got kicked into the lake by that thing, I was out cold drowning
and a couple of Bob's friends pulled me out, held me upside down
until I came to, then they led me here. Store survived, did a quick stop.
AMY
What's next?
ANN
(smiles)
Dinner.
JIM
Can you imagine the news? Not saying it was giant alien monsters.
DAVE
That's for sure.
Sounds of helicopters in the distance getting closer, and jets swooshing by.
FADE OUT:
THE END.
