It's a Wonderful Life. Post Credit Scene.

CREDITS END, BLACKSCREEN. 

FADE IN:

INT.  BANK OFFICE - SAME CHRISTMAS NIGHT.

We see MR. POTTER, and his BODYGUARD loitering in his place of business, Mr. Potter is just 

hanging up his desk phone.

                                                           MR. POTTER

                     Mmm...something is going on at the BAILY house. Finally that loser is getting arrested,

                     let's go, I want to see him go down in person.

CONTINUED: 

CUT TO:

INT.  BAILY HOUSE.

We see the crowd of supporters still surrounding Baily, and his family next to the bowl full of

donated money. A loud knock on the door, a police officer near to the door opens it, Mr. Potter and

his bodyguard roll in through the crowd toward George Baily, he puts down his child from his arms,

the room grows quiet in anticipation with the unexpected visit.

                                                                      GEORGE

                                         Mr. Potter...what brings you here?

                                                                       MARY

                                (scowling)

                                          I think you should leave Mr. Potter.

                                                                      GEORGE

                                          Now Mary, let's give Mr. Potter a chance to speak, it is Christmas

                                          after all. What say you Mr. Potter? What brings you here on this

                                          beautiful night?

                                                                     MR. POTTER

                                         Why isn't this man arrested for fraud? What's going on?

                                                                     MARY

                                (smiling)

                                         Love is what's going on!

The group of supporters cheers shouts of encouraging words about love, joy, and christmas. 

Potter's bodyguard whispers in the police officer's ear.

       

                                                                   POLICEMAN

                                         What!? Mr. Potter, your man just told me you have Mr. Baily's

                                         missing eight thousand dollars. Is that true!?

A loud group gasp reverberates around the room, then sudden silence among George's family, and friends as they wait for Potter's answer.

           

                                                                   MR. POTTER

                                        Yes, yes it's true, but I had planned on returning it, I wanted to teach

                                        you a lesson Bailey, and I got a little carried away. Here it is.

Mr. Potter hands Bailey the money in an envelope, then gives his bodyguard a dirty look saying

a few words, just then UNCLE BILLY rushes over to Mr. Potter also.

                                                                 MR. POTTER

                                  (poking his bodyguard)

                                           You're fired!

                                                                 UNCLE BILLY

                                            You're a bad man Mr. Potter, a bad bad man!

                                                                 GEORGE

                                            Uncle Billy let it go, it's as much as we expected, and he did do

                                            do the right thing in the end.

                                                                UNCLE BILLY

                                            But George, he almost ruined us for good, we can't let that go.

                                                                GEORGE

                                             It's Christmas, and if there's any of a time for forgiveness it's today,

                                             and this is the best Christmas ever!

Everyone cheers loudly, and someone hands Mr. Potter a drink. CLARENCE appears with full

Angel wings displayed out from is back. Everyone in the room does not notice Clarence at all except

for George, and he can see Clarence, they grin at each other, cheerful mingling continues around

George, Clarence waves at George from across the room.

                                                              CLARENCE

                                            Well, my work here is done.

Clarence flies upwards, phases through the ceiling, and disappears before George's eyes, no one else

realizes their interaction. Mary looks at George with longing eyes.

                                                            MARY

                                           What is it George?

George leans in, and gently kisses Mary, then looks longingly into her eyes back.

                                                          GEORGE

                                    (smiling)

                                           It's a wonderful life Mary.

FADE TO BLACK.
