BLACK SCREEN FADES TO GREEN.

CUT TO:

We see the L.A. Cali landscape of suburbs, and towns, the Hollywood sign on the hill can be seen in 

the background, and everything is over run with 2 to 3 foot tall grass. The grass seems alive, slowly 

swaying back and forth, extending its blades on objects as if searching.

DISSOLVE TO:

We see DR. OKE NAVARRO, and SETH ROGEN sitting on the roof of Seth's L.A. rental house 

staring out into the killer grass devastation, they're smoking, and sharing a large marijuana joint.

CLOSE ON Oke, and Seth.

                                                             SETH

                                             Turn that music off, I don't want to die a Sarlacc death by psycho

                                              monster yard grass while rocking to AC/DC. 

                                                           OKE

                                              What are you talking about? This is the best way to go out, high, and

                                               rocking out. (Laughs.)

                                                             SETH

                                 (Takes a puff on the joint)

                                               This is all your fault, I never should've called you.

                                                             OKE

                                                There's no way any of us could have known crossing the Cannabis

                                                 with the Venus would be the end of the world. Pass that.

                                                           SETH

                                                You're supposed to be the expert man! What the hell!

                                                           OKE

                                                Yeah, I don't think anyone saw the Horticulture Apocalypse coming,

                                                but no one had to ever cut there grass again, that was cool, no bugs,

                                                heat resistant-well flame, and explosion resistant too, that was fucked

                                                up. Oh, and no watering. Gene splicing every succulent, and seaweed

                                                species with the most hardy grass was my greatest genius.

                                                           SETH

                                                 Your genius killed us man. All of us.

                                                            OKE

                                                 Not the Innuits on the top of the world.

                                                           SETH

                                  (Blows a huge puff of smoke out coughing.)

                                                 If I wasn't high right now, I'd probably throw you into your billion

                                                 dollar idea. Poetic justice.

The smoke from Seth's lungs drifts downward toward the killer grass now just a few feet away from

them. A few blades of grass react to the smoke, shaking then turning brown followed by shriveling.

Oke notices with excitement.

                                                        OKE

                                                Did you see that!

               

                                                       SETH

                                               Who's idea was it to gene splice a carnivorous narcotic plant any way?

                                                       OKE

                                               Our biggest investor. Look!

                                                      SETH

                                               Holy shit, Is that grass dying? Pot smoke Kills that shit.

                                                      OKE

                                               No not exactly. This is a hybrid weed I've been experimenting with.

                                               It's an unexpected catalytic result.

                                                      SETH

                                                You made killer weed!?

                                                      OKE

                                               I was scared to smoke it at first, but since we were going to die anyway.

                                               Turns out this side research is the antidote. We're saved! How fucking

                                               lucky.

                                                      SETH

                                               Dude, we're still surrounded, and there's no way off this roof.

                                                      OKE

                                               We have to get back to the lab. 

                                                      SETH

                                                How much hybrid weed do you have?

                                                      OKE

                                                Enough to smoke, and blow our way to that car over there.

                                                     SETH

                                               Alrighty then, get rolling, and lighting!
