INT. - CORRIDORS OF RUBBLE.

ANGLE ON Jason sitting on a chair in front of a crushed operational console. He speaks

out loud to himself.

                                                                JASON

She never loved me. You're going to wake up somewhere in

CROSSFADE:

INT. - A RUBBLE RIDDEN CAFETERIA.

ONE WEEK LATER.

We see Jason walking to a half buried counter cabinet, and stopping in front of it looking

around. He ponders, then flops down, and cries uncontrollably for a moment. His crying subsides.

                                                           JASON

                                   (V.O.)

I'm going to die, but why not I'm not anyone special. I don't

even know how I'm still here. A cup of coffee sounds so nice, yeah

just one good cup of coffee before I die, that's all I ask.

                                    (Out loud.)

Just one good cup of coffee before I die.

Jason starts to pilfer through the half-crushed cabinet for any chance to find coffee.

He sees remnants of coffee grinds mixed with debris dust and scrapes it into a pile.

SUSAN stands behind Jason holding a bag of ground coffee, Jason is unaware, and

then she surprises him.

                                                          SUSAN

                                                Looking for this?

Jason bumps his head while quickly removing himself from the cabinet, he stands, and turns

around staring at Susan.

                                                          JASON

Oh my god, another human being!

Jason hugs Susan.

                                                          SUSAN

I'll let this slide under the circumstances.

Jason stops hugging Susan, tears are in Jason's eyes.

                                                        JASON

                                                Who are you?

                                                       SUSAN

                                                Susan the cafeteria lady.

                                                        JASON

                                                Is that coffee?

                                                        SUSAN

                                                Starbucks.

                                                                                                            FADE OUT.
